Welcome to the home of Sandy’s East Coast Boxers. We are located
north of Vanceboro, just off NC Highway 43 between New Bern and
Greenville, North Carolina. We adopted our first Boxer puppy,
Holly, at 1 week old. Holly’s mother had made a mistake and laid
on Holly’s head while taking care of her pups. With lots of TLC
and Gods grace, in a week’s time she was doing just fine and is
now eleven years old. Until Holly, we never knew just how special
our love for a Boxer could be. Little did we know, we would be
hooked on this breed for a lifetime. She is, along with all of my
Boxers, an integral part of our family.
Boxers’ are known to be very people
friendly; they thrive on human companionship and activity, both
mental and physical. The Boxer is alert, very protective,
dependable and loyal to its owners. The Boxers’ temperament is
fundamentally playful, yet patient, and they love to play with
children.
I have carefully selected a small
number of adults to breed based on quality, soundness of health,
temperament and conformation. I have just recently imported two
males and a female from Germany to add to my breeding program. My
philosophy is that crossbreeding the German Boxer with my
bloodline will improve the overall general appearance of my
Boxers. My goal is to breed my Boxers to produce a larger,
stronger head with a shorter face, and a wider muzzle with
wrinkles. I also breed to produce a fairly muscular Boxer with a
deeper, wider chest. My males weigh 80 to 90 pounds and my females
weigh 55 to 65 pounds.
My Boxers get
lots of exercise and attention daily. They are all up to date on
routine vaccinations and dewormings. I do my very best to ensure
that they are all happy and healthy.
When puppies are
born, I provide both the mother and the newborns with the very
best care possible. Nutrition, as well as love and
socialization, is extremely important at this time. Everything I
do, as the breeder, has an everlasting effect on the puppies.
All of my puppies will have their tails docked, dew claws
removed, their scheduled vaccinations, and be dewormed beginning
at 2 weeks old. We do not breed or destroy white Boxers. If we
have a white Boxer born it will be vet checked, hearing tested,
and sold with a limited registration. My vet will check all
puppies at 6 weeks old to assure that they are healthy and ready
to meet their new families. Each puppy will come with a health
record at this time. Buyers will be given 3 days to have their
puppy checked out by their local vet. Puppies may be shipped to
most destinations in the US (weather permitting) via commercial
airline for an additional charge.
I would like to thank you for visiting my web site.
If I can answer any questions, please feel free to contact me. I
welcome you to visit my facility and meet each and every one of
my Boxers personally.
